For more than two decades, we have been revitalising the traditional material of wool felt at HEY-SIGN. In earlier times little attention was paid to this traditional textile material, which was only revitalised in the 1990s by innovative thinkers and their artistic inspiration. Since then, HEY-SIGN has made a significant contribution to re-establishing wool felt as an integral component in the areas of living, working, acoustics and lifestyle with timeless designs and refreshing colours.
To ensure the excellent quality of our products in the long term, HEY-SIGN has been part of the BWF Group since 2019. A traditional family business with 127 years of experience in the production of wool felt in Offingen. In May 2024, the management was placed in the trusted hands of Markus Bader. Our entire collection is handmade in Germany and customised on request.
Wool felt offers endless creative design opportunities. All HEY-SIGN felt products convince with good design and great attention to detail. The current product range contains about 250 articles from home accessories such as cushions, boxes and table decorations through furniture and seat covers up to room dividers, luminaires and carpets, available in four different material thicknesses and more than 40 modern colours.
For the realisation of contemporary interior design concepts in private, public and commercial sectors wool felt is an ideal material: It is permeable to air, resistant to abrasion and deformation. It is easy to maintain and durable, sound-absorbing, provides a pleasant room climate and good acoustics. HEY-SIGN uses these natural benefits and realises individual, custom-made solutions as well as special cuts for interior designers, architects and corporate clients. In the production hall felt dominates the scenery too. It goes without saying that the employees are surrounded by felt. After cutting the felt by CNC, all the following production steps are carried out by using traditional handcrafted methods: from stamping, sewing and weaving to the packaging of goods. How perfectly felt provides for a pleasant room climate, good acoustics and inspiring atmosphere, can be experienced by all HEY-SIGN employees every single day.
